Our Home Renovation Journey - Tile Selection
We scheduled to meet our ID at Hafary Eunos at 11:30 am. The place has a huge collection. Just after entering the building for a short while, we were both stunned at the range of tiles they had, wondering how in the world are we going to choose from all those tiles. Sometimes having a huge range can be a headache as well 😂. From the different tile sizes, to designs, patterns, finishing and textures, not including the huge range of colours with just the slightest variations to the undertones. 😨
We walked around excitedly and energetically in the beginning, touching and feeling the tiles for its texture and feel. After some time, the both of us were literally lost. Everything started to look the same to us.
Thankfully our ID arrived earlier and shortlisted some tiles that would best suit what we previously described to him and also some unique tiles that would help make a certain area stand out more.
Our first choice for the flooring of the entire house (Living Room, Bedrooms and Kitchen). The tag showed that the tiles were currently low in stock. Subsequently, our ID went to ask and they said the next shipment will probably arrive in late November to December. Really hope that we can get this in time! 🙏
Alternatively, we chose the middle one (boxed in red) as our second choice.
Our ID suggested to place these tiles in the area above our vanity and below the mirror panel in our master bedroom bathroom. I really liked this tile the moment I saw it. 😍 It's textured and unique but at the same time not too loud. Cant wait to see it in the 3D drawings.

The tile we chose for the walls and flooring in both bathrooms. Really like the soft look and it has a rougher texture so that it will not be slippery when wet. I think this also has low stock and the new shipment will arrive by December. If this doesnt come in time, we may have to go for something else.
Initially our ID wanted to use black glossy subway tiles to be placed in the herringbone pattern as our feature wall in the shower area of our master bedroom toilet. But we preferred something more to the softer, subtle side so he proposed using these mosaic tiles instead. We both liked this better 😂 This was WAY above the price that Superhome quoted us for but he said he will do it for us. Of course just for that one wall.. 😁👏
That's all the photos we took at Hafary. We still have not decided the feature wall for the common bathroom. We were drained and hungry after the selection of the other tiles. By the time we had to decide the feature wall tiles for the common bathroom, both our brains were not functioning properly already. 😂 We decided to put that on hold first.
So we decided to leave first and our ID informed us that we should be able to receive the 3D drawings in 2 weeks, which should be the weekend of 10/11th November. Really looking forward to the 3D drawings and I really hope that it is what we are looking for with minimal problems. 🙏 In that case, we won't have to amend as much. Can't wait! One step closer to our home!!~
