Our Home Renovation Journey - Shopping for Electrical Appliances

We happened to come across a leaflet from Audiohouse that was put into my in-law's letterbox. Audiohouse is located at Bendemeer Road, pretty far from our place but Audiohouse is known to match the lowest prices in the market, meaning to say that upon purchasing from them, if we were to find somewhere else selling the same item at a cheaper price, all we have to do is take a photo and Audiohouse will match the price. Apart from that, they also offer free membership and 20% + additional 7% cashback that can be used to offset other purchases made at Audiohouse. The best thing is that these evouchers does not have any expiry date. 👍😊

Earlier in November, we bought a Samsung 65inch UHD 4K Smart LED TV that costs $2639 including the wall bracket, delivery and installation charges. From purchasing the TV, we earned $678 of evouchers! Also, Samsung was having some promotion, hence we are entitled to $200 worth of grocery vouchers! 👍 We also bought a bundle set consisting of a slimline hood, a built-in glass hob with 3 burners and a built-in oven from EF at $999. This bundle set somehow was excluded from any cashbacks and we could not deduct the evoucher we got from buying the TV as well. The bundle set came with a free EF microwave oven with grill.

This time, we are looking to buy 2 KDK fans, one for the living room and another for the master bedroom. Husband did his research online and we decided to get a 4-blade fan for the living room and a 3-blade fan for the master bedroom. We decided to self-collect the fans and leave it at my parent's house for the time being.

We also decided to buy the Hitachi 2-Door Fridge (470L) that we shortlisted previously in glass black. We wanted to try something different, one with the freezer is situated at the bottom. Since we will be using the freezer less frequent, it would probably make more sense to have the fridge above so that we can fully utilize the space without having to bend down. The delivery is free and they will be giving a Micom rice cooker for free.

We managed to use the evouchers for the KDK fans and Hitachi fridge, saving us a total of $140 for the fans and $220 for the fridge! 👍 That's really quite a lot of savings! When using the evouchers to offset the price of another item, we could only earn 3% + additional 7% cashback. Hence, we still have $471 worth of evouchers after deduction and earning the cashbacks.

We still have to get a washer, dryer and a soundbar for the TV from Audiohouse. We probably need somemore time to do some research and read up on the product reviews, hence we will probably go back another day.

Over this weekend, I am glad that we managed to do some shopping and cleared a couple things off our list. Hopefully the tiling works are going on well and we can update on the renovation process soon... 👏
